With European Sleeper’s latest route extension, you can now take a sleeper train directly from Belgium to the Czech Republic.

We’ve written extensively here at TPG about the great train revival, particularly the pioneering routes of the European Sleeper, which is opening up rail links across the continent.

The railway company first launched its Brussels-Amsterdam-Berlin night train service in May 2023, expanding its service from Berlin to Dresden and Bad Schandau in Germany from Monday before traveling to the Czech capital Prague.

Thanks to the extra stops, you can now board the European Sleeper in Belgium and wake up the next morning in the Czech Republic. The full length of the service will connect four European capitals: Brussels, Amsterdam, Berlin and Prague.

The newly expanded route will initially run three times a week, departing at 7.22pm on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays and arriving in Prague the following day at 10.56am

Several major rail companies – including Eurostar and Nightjet – now offer long-distance connections across Europe. However, European Sleeper stands out as one of the fastest growing routes and many more routes could be added in the coming years, including connections between Amsterdam, Brussels and Barcelona, ​​planned for 2025 and 2026.

“We are really happy to launch the new route to Prague, less than a year after launching our first direct service from Brussels to Berlin,” said Elmer van Buuren, co-founder of European Sleeper, in a written statement from the company . “Our goal is to add a new route every year so that we can continue to contribute to a more integrated and sustainable European transport network.”
