Ahsoka episode four recap: 9 / 10 : Finally, Ahsoka makes some progress with episode four Fallen Jedi. It is action packed, exciting and can shock you. For the past few episodes, it’s felt like the show knows where it wants to go, but it has a lot to unpack before it can get there. This time around, it’s fresh air to get all the characters involved and get a clearer picture of where the miniseries is headed.
In last week’s recap, I said that while Episode 3 was shorter and not much happened, it did the job. Ahsoka Tano and co. from point A to B, to set up a promising sequel. Luckily I was right, let’s dive in.

Stay together
Huyang continues where we left off while repairing the ship Sabine Wren finds Ahsoka outside. She observes the strange atmosphere and senses a presence, probably that of Skoll and his army. Ahsoka tells
Sabine “The enemy has the map and the resources to get where he wants to go” and adds, “If we can’t make the journey to save Ezra, maybe no one should.” This clearly has consequences for Sabine, which will be discussed later. For now, Huyang continues his work outside the ship, while Ahsoka warns to be careful here. In the distance we see an enemy droid stalking them.
At the edge of the forest, Morgan Elsbeth and Baylan Skoll sit with the navigator and prepare to take off shortly. Skoll tells Shin and Marrok to follow the army, knowing that the droids will be no match for Ahsoka and Sabine, “But it will happen,” assures Skoll Shin. Baylan Skoll is by far the best character, his experienced, cold way of life sometimes at odds with his fallen Jedi ways. Will more of him be explored when there is already so much more to do? We’ll have to see.
Back on the ship, Huyang is attacked and we get our first action sequence. Ahsoka and Sabine eventually come to help. The three take out the army with relative ease, before Ahsoka and Sabine move on, Huyang advises them to “stick together” as history would imply it’s better that way.
Hera assembles a few Rebel pilots to venture into the Denab System, supposedly disobeying orders to help her friends. It’s a fast-paced scene, but again, there’s a lot to do.
Go somewhere?
Ahsoka and Sabine are stopped by Shin and Marrok. Sabine takes on Shin, Ahsoka gets Marrok, easy enough. The choreography combined with the cool visuals is great. Both fights are evenly matched until Ahsoka defeats Marrok in one swift move. In the distance, Shin sees this, Sabine tells Ahsoka to get the map.
Ahsoka approaches the navigator, it is quiet except for Baylan guarding him. The two exchange probably the best page of dialogue in the series to date. Baylan mentions Ahsoka’s past, including Anakin, and the plan when they find Thrawn. This allows for more lightsaber action, except Baylan has the most control. Ahsoka is able to take the card, but it burns her hand and is unable to destroy it.
Sabine uses the power on Shin, though small, but effective. Shin flees back to her master with Sabine close behind. Baylan forces Ahsoka to the edge of the cliff, but Sabine gets her hands on the map and threatens to destroy it. Ahsoka tells her to do it, but Sabine is conflicted: it’s the only way to find out Ezra Brugger. Baylan punches Ahsoka, she falls into the ocean below. As Sabine stands there shocked but still conflicted, Baylan is able to manipulate her. He gives her his word that no harm will be done to her if she gives him the map, and that she can come and find Ezra with them. Despite some hesitation, she perseveres. Baylan destroys the map and makes sure no one can follow it. Together with their new captive Sabine, they board their ship and prepare for hyperdrive. Too late for Hera’s crew, the ship disappears, leaving no trace.
Master and student
Ahsoka is nowhere among the waters, but we see her on some form of astral plane. She gets up and begins to hear a whisper: “Hello Snips”. The whispers get clearer, closer: “I didn’t expect to see you so soon”
She turns and sees her former master, Anakin Skywalker. As we went to black, for a very long time Star Wars can identify a familiar noise that may tease where the next episode will go.

Ahsoka episode four Fallen Jedi is the strongest yet and gains necessary power as the stakes for his characters increase.
