World of Hyatt members have had plenty of reasons to don their mourning veils lately.

The loyalty partnership between Hyatt and MGM Resorts was severed and Marriott is now the hotel conglomerate of choice for the Las Vegas gaming giant. More recently, Small Luxury Hotels of the World – a great way for World of Hyatt loyalists to have customized luxury options in a variety of cities and towns around the world – announced a plan that will end the Hyatt partnership in favor of a partnership with Hilton.

That’s a tough blow for Hyatt, as SLH gave Hyatt a presence in many international markets that didn’t have a true Hyatt-branded hotel.

Fortunately, there’s still time to enjoy an SLH stay — and earn Hyatt points in the process — before the group walks down the aisle with Hilton, though a firm timeline for when the partnership will end isn’t clear.

“At this time, World of Hyatt members can still book participating SLH hotels through Hyatt’s booking channels, and nothing will change going forward for existing World of Hyatt member reservations,” a Hyatt spokesperson told TPG in early February. “More information about the end of this relationship will be shared with guests and members in the coming months.”

I asked the TPG newsroom about some of my colleagues’ favorite SLH properties, so you know which ones to try to book before the partnership ends. Here’s our not-so-definitive list of SLH properties you can reserve before they leave World of Hyatt.
