Israeli warplanes bombed a home belonging to the Shehadeh family in the Brazilian neighborhood of Rafah Governorate, south of the Gaza Strip.
The attack killed four people and injured dozens of others on Thursday. At least fifteen people are still buried under the rubble.
The injured were taken to Abu Youssef Al Najjar Hospital and Kuwaiti Specialty Hospital in Rafah.
The house, which belonged to Abdullah Shehadeh, a doctor, housed dozens of displaced people.
People nearby, along with civil defense crews, dug through the wreckage with simple tools and their bare hands, trying to retrieve the bodies of the dead left under the rubble.
In two separate attacks on the homes of the Abu Dabaa and Ashour families in Rafah, the number of people killed in the aerial bombardment has risen to 25.
The attacks took place the same evening when communications networks were shut down again by Israeli forces, the fifth time since October 7.
In a statement, the government media office in Gaza announced the Israeli policy as a “deliberate act.”
“Cutting off communications and the internet means that Palestinians will face life-threatening disasters as many people will be killed and injured. [in Israeli attacks] which no one will be able to reach,” the media agency said. “The number of fatalities will therefore increase.”
More than 280 Palestinians and about 800 others were injured on Thursday as airstrikes and artillery shelling continued across the Gaza Strip, especially in the southern town of Khan Younis, northern Gaza and neighborhoods east of Gaza City.
According to Palestinian authorities, at least 18,797 people have been killed and more than 50,000 injured since the start of the Israeli offensive on the coastal area. About 7,780 Palestinians are still missing and presumed dead under the rubble of their own homes.
More than 253,000 homes have been partially damaged by the ongoing bombings, and more than 52,000 homes have been completely destroyed by the Israeli airstrikes or have been made uninhabitable.
