House Oversight Committee Chairman Rep. James Comer (R-KY) said people like CNN’s Jake Tapper, who are questioning his impeachment inquiry, are part of a “low IQ audience.”

Video from Comer:

The problem is not that Comer’s research is without evidence and makes no sense. The problem is that the American people are too stupid to understand his research.

Chairman Comer has used the low IQ excuse before.
Comer has claimed that MSNBC is not reporting its impeachment inquiry because the network’s viewers have low IQs. “The media knows that, but they just don’t report it. Then you have the liberal media, like MSNBC, with their low IQ audience sitting there, and they hear bad things about me and other members because we have the audacity to investigate, so we have to go against a hostile media, a media that turns a blind eye.”

In some ways, Comer’s comments are typical excuses for conspiracy theories. Conspiracy theorists always tout themselves as the people with a special intellect who can do and understand what others cannot.

Every time Rep. Comer starts insulting the intelligence of the American people, it’s a symbol of his frustration that his BS hasn’t caught on with a wider audience.

The American people are not stupid. James Comer is angry that Americans aren’t as stupid as he thinks. The BS doesn’t work, so James Comer insults the intelligence of those who don’t buy it.
