Like you said, you’ve done so much work looking at archives and looking at what was worn. I wonder how the collaboration between you and Sofia is going [Coppola] worked? Are there parts of the stories that needed to be adjusted to show some of those moments? Or do the major plot points organically coincide with some of these iconic fashion moments?
They are a big part of the story, I would say, and never added for the sake of showing them.
I have a feeling he [Elvis Presley] In our story she leaves Germany, it is the very first time she sees him as a public figure.
I mean, obviously she knows he’s a public figure, but their relationship up until that point is very intimate.
Then she waves goodbye, and it’s as if he suddenly belongs to the world again. That was, I think, a very important part of the story.
Of course the wedding is important. The child is important.
