Former Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) believes that Republicans in the House of Representatives will never have the votes to put Biden’s impeachment to a vote.
Pelosi said on MSNBC’s Inside with Jen Psaki:
The fact is that they have no goods. You know, they’ve been trying to file charges for months and months and months. I don’t think they’ll ever bring it to the floor. They won’t, they won’t have the votes. They are members in districts that President Biden won. Oh, not that they love President Biden that much. But they, these voters will say that this is just not the way to go. You know, everyone supported my case in 2007 when we had the majority and they wanted us to impeach President Bush for misrepresenting the war in Iraq, misrepresenting things coming in, leaving Afghanistan too early, all of that. But you, when you have a difference of opinion, you just can’t accuse, accuse. On the other hand, as you said, this is a fake distraction, but they don’t even have the courage to bring it up.

Very few people in the history of the House of Representatives have been as good at counting votes as former Speaker Pelosi. If she says Republicans won’t get the votes to impeach Biden, then it’s a safe bet they won’t get the votes.
Both Republicans and Democrats in the House of Representatives have said that the votes are not there to actually impeach Biden. Part of the scam McCarthy is trying to pull off is to drag the impeachment inquiry through the nominating conventions next year.
Republicans in the House of Representatives appear more interested in creating a general election issue than impeaching President Biden. The votes likely won’t be there to impeach the president, but the nation should prepare for months of breathless MAGA political theater as impeachment is used as a gimmick to help Trump.
