The rooms are decorated in soothing neutral tones and even have chromotherapy lamps that you can change to different colors (each color has different purported healing properties, but it’s also just fun).

The bathrooms are spacious and equipped with a walk-in shower and bidet. The staff is also very friendly. It is a nice and quiet place that is still central to everything. Please note that although it is called a B&B, breakfast is not offered.

2. B&B Hotel Milano Sant’Ambrogio

This 3-star hotel in Centro Storico offers simple rooms with large photos of Milan on the walls. The light and airy rooms are quite large and have plenty of natural light thanks to the large windows. The beds are very comfortable and all rooms have a desk, flat screen TV and wardrobe. The bathrooms are on the small side, but have a walk-in shower and a bidet.

I especially love the fact that the breakfast buffet is quite varied and includes a lot of pastries and fresh orange juice (however, it costs 9.50 EUR). There is also a roof terrace with beautiful views, as well as a small snack bar downstairs if you want to have some late night snacks but don’t want to leave the hotel. Overall, the hotel offers great value for money for first-time visitors who want to stay somewhere central but don’t want to spend an arm and a leg.

3. Art Hotel Navigli

This four-star hotel is full of art (walking through the corridors almost feels like you’re in a modern art museum). The hotel also has a wellness center with a small gym, sauna and steam bath. I also like the extensive breakfast buffet. It starts early (7am) ​​and there is a nice spread of eggs, meat, fresh pastries and seasonal fruit. With the juicer you can even make your own fresh juice.

The rooms are somewhat dated, but spacious and equipped with a flat-screen TV, minibar, kettle and Nespresso machine. The showers are a bit small and dated, although they have great water pressure. It is a unique place to stay, just a few steps from one of Navigli’s beautiful canals.

This five-star hotel continues the tradition of the perfume factory it is housed in, with an on-site perfume laboratory and soothing scents throughout the building.
