In the summer of 2018, legendary footballer Paolo Maldini made a comeback in Milan. A year later he was elevated to technical director.
Together with sporting director Ricky Massara, he oversaw the Italian club’s transfer activities in recent years.
However, Milan said in early June that Massara and Maldini will leave the team.
Maldini has since been linked with positions with the Italian national team and Paris Saint-Germain.
However, the 55-year-old is still for sale. Maldini now really wants to move to Saudi Arabia.
Transfer specialist Fabrizio Romano claims Maldini is being pursued by Al-Ittihad to become their director.
The Italian is the first choice of the Saudi club. Maldini is likely to make a decision on Al-Ittihad in the near future.
The team recently parted ways with head coach Nuno Espirito Santo, who reportedly had a falling out with Karim Benzema.
