Bilt Rewards, the program that lets you earn points by paying rent, has exciting news to share. Marriott Bonvoy, the hotel megachain with more than 30 hotel brands and locations in 10,000 destinations worldwide, has become Bilt’s 15th transfer partner.
Here’s what you need to know about transferring points from Bilt Rewards to Marriott Bonvoy.
Transfer points from Bilt to Marriott
You can transfer Bilt points to Marriott Bonvoy at a 1:1 ratio. Additionally, for every 20,000 Bilt points you transfer to Marriott Bonvoy in a single transaction, you will receive an additional 5,000 Marriott Bonvoy points.
While Bilt expects most transfers to Marriott Bonvoy to occur almost immediately, it may take up to 48 hours for your points to reflect in your Marriott account. Please note: 48 hours is considerably longer than Bilt’s other transfer partners, which currently process within a few minutes. The only exception to this is American Airlines AAdvantage, which can take up to 24 hours.
As with Bilt’s other transfer partners, you can earn 100 points by simply linking your Bilt and Marriott Bonvoy accounts in the Bilt Rewards app.

Is it worth transferring Bilt points to Marriott?
Since TPG values Bilt points at 2.05 cents and Marriott Bonvoy points at 0.84 cents, you generally won’t want to transfer Bilt points to Marriott even if you unlock the 5,000 point bonus for transferring 20,000 Bilt points in one transaction.
You can redeem Bilt points for 1.25 cents each via the Bilt travel portal. While you won’t generally earn Marriott points or receive elite status benefits, this route may offer a better redemption rate for a Marriott stay.
For more redemption value, check out the World of Hyatt award rates. TPG values Hyatt points at 1.7 cents each. Additionally, Hyatt is waiving the destination or resort fee for award stays without reducing fees, meaning guests can still enjoy perks like free WiFi and use of beach chairs, depending on the property.

In short
Transfers from Bilt Rewards to Marriott Bonvoy are now live. However, in our opinion, this option is not the best use of your Bilt points.
As a reminder: the Bilt Mastercard® has no annual fee (see rates and fees) and earns 3 points per dollar spent on dining, 2 points per dollar spent on travel, 1 point per dollar spent on other purchases and 1 point per dollar spent on rental payments excluding transaction fees (up to 100,000 points per calendar year). When you make at least five posted transactions with your Bilt Mastercard in a statement period, you’ll earn points on rentals and qualifying net purchases.
