Kid Rock’s Bud Light Controversy
Daily Mail reported that Parton, 77, collaborated with Kid Rock, 52, on the song “Either Or” for her upcoming rock ‘n’ roll album.
Liberals are outraged by this collaboration as they are still looking to cancel Kid Rock over a viral video he posted earlier this year in which he recorded cases of Bud Light in the wake of the brand’s collaboration with the transgender influencer Dylan Mulvaney for a partnership in April.
Kid Rock then played a major role in launching the highly affective boycott of Bud Light, which cost the company more than $395 million in the months that followed, according to CNN.

Parton defends collaboration with Kid Rock
Despite the backlash Parton has received for her duet with Kid Rock, she refuses to back down and instead defends her friend.
“I did a song with Kid Rock on this album,” Parton told The Hollywood Reporter. “Of course I did that before the controversy he had, but someone said to me the other day, ‘How can you do this? [song] with Child?’”

“I said, ‘Hey, just because I love you doesn’t mean I don’t love Kid Rock. Just because I love Kid Rock doesn’t mean I don’t love you,” she continued. “I don’t judge or criticize. I just accept and love.”
Parton went on to say that she probably would have collaborated with Kid Rock on this song regardless of his Bud Light controversy.
“Like I said, I had done that before, but I probably still would have done it, because he’s a gifted man, and that song was about a bad boy,” Parton explained. “It was about a boy who cheated on her and abused her.”
“But like I said, I love everyone,” she added. “I do not criticize, I do not condone or condemn. I just accept them. But anyway, just because I love you doesn’t mean I don’t love Kid Rock’s God in that way.”

Parton Slams cancel culture
Parton then gave her thoughts on cancel culture, a phenomenon she described as “horrible.”
“We all make mistakes,” she said. “We’re not all going to get caught out. But even if someone makes a mistake, it depends on who he/she is. That’s what God is for.”
“Now I happen to believe in God; I’m a faith-based person, so that’s why I can see it that way,” she continued. “Many people don’t, but everyone deserves a second chance. You deserve to be innocent until proven guilty. Even if you are found guilty, if God can forgive you, so can I. If God can forgive you, we must all forgive each other.”
Kid Rock is just one of many celebrities Parton collaborated with on songs for her album ‘Rockstar,’ including Chris Stapleton, Elton John, John Fogerty, Miley Cyrus, Sheryl Crow, Stevie Nicks, Sting and more.

Most entertainers wouldn’t have the guts to root for a proud conservative patriot like Kid Rock, but Parton has never been like your average celebrity. Ultimately, Parton is one of a kind, and we applaud her for standing by her good friend Kid Rock despite pressure from the left-wing cancel culture crowd to turn their backs on her!
