Ukrainian President Zelensky has invited Donald Trump to Ukraine in a move that calls Trump’s bluff that he can end the war within 24 hours.
Zelenskyy said on NBC’s Meet The Press when asked about Trump’s claim that he can end the war within 24 hours:
Former President Trump said he can make it in 24 hours and end the war. What can I say for me? So he is also very welcome. President Biden was here, and he – I think he understood some details that you can only understand if you’re here. That’s why I’m inviting President Trump.
If he can get here, I need 24 minutes – yes, 24 minutes; not anymore. Yes. Not anymore. Twenty-four minutes to explain to President Trump that he can’t handle this war. He cannot bring peace because of Putin. If, but there is always an ‘if’, if he doesn’t try and if he is not ready to give up our territory for this terrible man, for Putin, if you are not ready to give it, if you are not ready to give our territory independence, he – he – he cannot handle it. Yes.

The chance of Trump going to Ukraine is zero. The chance that Trump starts the war in Ukraine without giving Ukraine to Russia is also zero.
Zelenskyy called out Trump for promising something he has no intention of ever delivering. President Biden has gone to two war zones during his presidency so far. Trump was embarrassed to visit US troops when he was president, so it’s unlikely the former president would ever set foot in Ukraine.
Trump’s plan to quickly end the war in Ukraine appears to be to give Putin whatever he wants, and Zelenskyy has appealed to Trump by extending the invitation.
