‘Chosen by God’ speaker Mike Johnson admitted that he lets his son monitor his porn intake as his accountability partner.
Via Rollingstone:
During a conversation about the ‘War on Technology’ at Benton, Louisiana’s Cypress Baptist Church – unearthed by X user Receipt Maven last week – Louisiana’s representative talked about how he installed “accountability software” called Covenant Eyes on his devices to abstain from internet porn and other unsavory websites.
“It scans all the activity on your phone, or on your devices, your laptop, whatever; we all do it,” Johnson told the panel about the app.
“A report will be sent to your accountability partner. My accountability partner right now is Jack, my son. He’s 17. So he and I get a report once a week on all the things that are on our phones and all our devices. If something offensive happens, your accountability partner will be notified immediately. I am proud to tell you that my son has a clean slate.”
What’s left unsaid is that Mike Johnson apparently needs an accountability partner to keep him from watching porn. Note that he said his son had a clean record. Johnson said nothing about his record.
Come on, what real person, chosen by God to lead the House of Representatives, doesn’t use their teenage child to keep him or her from watching porn?
We all know how much supposedly godly Republicans in red states love their pornographySo it’s no surprise that the more pious and republican a man claims to be, the more likely he is to have many dark and oppressed skeletons in his closet.
Mike Johnson is beaming a super creepy Gilead atmosphere on the surface, but it’s even worse than being unpleasant. Perhaps Republicans should have done some research before handing Johnson’s gavel to the Speaker.
The face of the Republicans in the House of Representatives is a right-wing fanatic who apparently needs to be monitored so he doesn’t watch porn.
That’s the kind of leadership Republicans provide to America.
