One of the nice things about a subscription is that you can get gift codes for it at reasonable prices, and if the recipient already has a subscription, they can still use the code to pay for more time.
For Xbox and PC gamers, Xbox Game Pass Ultimate is the ultimate gift, offering a large library of games, the ability to stream and play many of them on phones, low-power laptops, Chromebooks and TVs, many of which can be installed on a PC for local playback. One month costs $17.
PlayStation Plus Premium isn’t as extensive as Microsoft’s Xbox offering, but for fans of Sony’s console it offers a library of games, cloud streaming of older generation games, and more. One month costs just $18, and three months costs $50.
And for gamers who already have a large collection of PC games, Nvidia’s GeForce Now offers the ability to stream a large and growing number of them to any non-PC device, like Chromebooks, Macs, and phones. There are two subscription levels for GeForce Now: Priority and Ultimate; you don’t have to choose which one as it will be selected when the code is redeemed. For example, the $20 code can be redeemed for two months of Priority or one month of Ultimate.
