Look, I’ll be the first to admit that Le Labo’s iconic Santal 33 fragrance smells really good. Besides the fact that I own a bottle myself, the scent has become so wildly popular over the years that it is practically a calling card for well-known millennials. In short, if you know, you know. But the Brooklyn-based perfume brand has a lot more to offer besides its bestseller in the form of oil-based unisex fragrances, and I’m here to tell you where to start.
It is easy to understand why the brand is so popular. Each scent is layered with a heady blend of notes, and because they’re oil-based, one spritz can last all day. I know they can be pricey, but in my opinion the cost per wear is well worth the investment. For my own fragrance mission (and yours), I asked Le Labo to send me samples of its best-selling fragrances, and the brand was kind enough to provide its Discovery Kit, which contains 17 trial-sized spritzes. Over the past few weeks I have been changing my scent every day, mainly because I like wearing perfume even if I don’t go out just to feel something, but also because I wanted to give you my honest opinion about the best Le Labo perfumes.
