President Joe Biden has been working harder than usual, traveling nearly full workdays around the world, attending meetings and dinners and signing executive orders aimed at attracting young and minority voters. His latest Executive Order aims to seduce another voting group: climate activists.
This week, the Biden administration unveiled the American Climate Corps, a program repackaged following an effort during the Obama administration to train a generation of climate workers, known as activists. The American Climate Corps promises to teach thousands of “young people” climate-related jobs, in a sort of effort to move our country into a new era.
But this EO promises nothing more than an attempt to create an empty victory for President Biden in the run-up to the election and an attempt to appeal to the progressive left of his party and the country. So, without further ado, let’s dive into this old new program.
Today I am taking executive action to launch the American Climate Corps – a workforce initiative that will train more than 20,000 young people for good-paying jobs in the clean energy and climate resilience economy.https://t.co/PPJg1aoo2y

New Generation
The US Climate Corps, launched with a swipe of Uncle Joe’s pen, will pay 20,000 “young people” to be trained in climate-related jobs. There is an emphasis on “young people” in this program’s reporting, and that is on purpose – to galvanize a voting bloc that has shown signs of cooling off from the octogenarian politician.
The administration’s announcement says the program:
“…ensuring more young people have access to the skills-based training needed for well-paying careers in the clean energy and climate-resilient economy.”

Biden climate policy advisor Ali Zaidi said of the new initiative:
“We are opening pathways to well-paying careers, lifelong commitment to work to make our communities fairer, more sustainable and more resilient.”
Another reason why they want to conquer Americans when they are young, entice them with paid training in climate-related jobs, and guarantee loyalty to the climate change cult. But the government won’t just stop seducing the climate change fanatics; Why focus on one subculture when you can reach two?

The injustice of justice
Progressive environmentalist group Sunrise Movement has been advising the White House on programs like the Climate Corps and has expressed joy at this latest development. However, Executive Director Varshini Prakash said more needs to be done:
“We need millions of people, especially young people, in jobs to do the essential work of preventing climate catastrophe and building a fair and just new economy.”
There it is, folks, combining climate change hysteria with equality. So what is a just new economy, and how does climate change relate to it?

During a phone call with reporters, a government official explained that the “recruits” of this new corps:
“…fulfill the important role of conserving and restoring our lands and waters, increasing community resilience, deploying clean energy…implementing energy efficiency technologies that will lower consumer costs for the American people, and advancing environmental justice .”
See how they did that, reader? They mention things that everyone can get behind; who doesn’t want our land and water to be restored and preserved?
Even I’m intrigued by solar energy, especially if it lowers my energy bill. And then at the end they come up with a vague, obscure concept: environmental justice.

Everything is racist
The concept of environmental justice is not new; you can trace it back to the 1990s under President Bill Clinton.
The Environmental Protection Agency defines environmental justice as:
“…the fair treatment and meaningful involvement of all people, regardless of race, color, national origin, or income, in the development, implementation, and enforcement of environmental laws, regulations, and policies.”
It sounds innocent enough and relatively legitimate. Again, who can dispute the idea of fair treatment and inclusion of all without discrimination?

However, the Biden administration has become adept at mutating the concept to manipulate minority voters and divide the nation. In April, President Biden signed an Executive Order directing every federal agency to work toward “environmental justice for all,” asserting:
“For far too long, communities across our country have suffered persistent environmental injustice from toxic pollution, underinvestment in infrastructure and critical services, and other disproportionate environmental harms, often due to a legacy of racial discrimination.”
Secretary of Transportation Pete Buttigieg was more than happy to add this racist infrastructure argument when discussing the $2 trillion infrastructure plan:
“There is physical racism built into some of our highways….”

False victories for Biden
The US Climate Corps is just another way for Team Biden-Harris to claim they have delivered on their promises to the progressive left in an effort to secure their votes. In 2021, President Biden signed an Executive Order that included the Justice40 Initiative.
Justice40 aims to deliver 40% of the total benefits of federal investments to “underserved communities.” To prove that the Biden administration is achieving this goal, they have created their own “Environmental Justice Scorecard,” which, wait for it, includes the creation of a climate career training workforce.
How convenient for Team Biden-Harris; it looks like they’ve made up for that piece of the pie. While they have a goal in mind to make the country more “equitable” through everything, including climate policy, every step they take is anything but fair.
One need only recall the government’s attempt to grant debt relief to farmers solely on the basis of their skin color, in an effort to correct alleged “systemic racism.” While that initiative failed thanks to a lawsuit forcing debt relief to be race-neutral — a concept that shouldn’t be alarming today — this latest program continues the same anti-racist, racist trope.
The White House announced that the American Climate Corps is specifically designed to attract participants from underserved communities that are disproportionately affected by climate change. I wonder what they all mean by that?
Good luck applying if you’re a white cisgender heterosexual. Make no mistake: President Biden and his administration don’t care about the climate, minorities, or justice – they care about power, and power is colorblind.
Climate activists from the Last Generation group demonstrated in Berlin today, blocking traffic at 21 different locations in the city.
This time, however, the glue they used was so strong that their hands had to be cut from the asphalt and damage was caused to the road.
