Underwood talks about parenting
Underwood, 40, shares two young sons, ages 8 and 4, with her NHL star husband Mike Fisher, and when she recently appeared on the TODAY Show, she admitted that raising children in the digital age isn’t easy .
“It’s such a struggle, isn’t it? Even television… I notice that if they watch too much TV, there is a change in their attitude. And I’m like, ‘Why are you moody? What are we doing? Oh…’ she said.
Underwood further admitted that monitoring the amount of content her sons consume is “a struggle,” adding that she also worries about cell phones, which she wants to keep her boys away from for “as long as possible.”

Fortunately, the school Underwood sends her sons to in Nashville, Tennessee takes a proactive approach when it comes to technology.
“There’s been some sort of grassroots initiative within their school and a bunch of parents got together and discussed how we can keep our kids away from technology a little bit,” she stated. “Especially like social media and things like that, for as long as possible.”
Underwood’s sons only recently realized how famous their mother is.
“They’ve seen me on stage and I feel like the first time my oldest, especially, got ideas was when his friends said something and were like, ‘Oh, that’s different?’ I didn’t know that wasn’t normal,” she explained. “So they came home and said, ‘They said they saw you on TV.'”

Underwood’s ‘Double Life’
Earlier this year, Underwood told Vegas Magazine that she is living a “double life.”
“I love my role as a mother and wife,” Underwood explains. “In addition to what I get to do on stage, I go to baseball practice.
“It’s wonderfully ordinary, and I love that,” she added. “In many ways I lead a double life. At home I’m a mom, and then I fly away to Vegas or to go on tour.”
After the birth of her first son in 2015, Underwood opened up about how motherhood “changed” her.
“I definitely feel like it has changed me as a person,” she told Redbook Magazine in 2016. “I’m happier. I’m often in a better mood. He watches cartoons and I watch it. I’m completely in love. I love it when he is sleepy and I get to hold him and smell him. He doesn’t know that I’m staring at him with wide eyes!”

Underwood expands Vegas residency
Underwood continues to be as busy with her career as ever and recently expanded her REFLECTION residency in Las Vegas with 18 new shows.
“Big news for 2024!! So excited to share that #REFLECTION will continue next year at @resortsworldtheatre starting in March,” Underwood wrote on Instagram. “We love putting on this show for everyone who comes from all over the world, and if you haven’t seen it yet, come see us!”
