Coeur Mining (NYSE:CDE) said Monday it has achieved initial production of gold and silver ounces at its Rochester mine expansion project in Nevada, with full ramp-up of commercial production expected in early 2024.
Now that the primary gyratory crusher has been installed, Coeur (CDE) said construction of the new three-stage breaking circuit is now substantially completed; Once fully ramped up, the company expects throughput to average 32 million tons per year.
Coeur (CDE) said a multi-day truck and load capacity test has been completed to ensure Rochester can support higher throughput rates associated with the newly configured circuit, confirming the mine’s ability to reach the designed capacity of up to 100,000 tons to safely support. day in 2023 and up to 132,000 tons/day in 2024.
After a ramp-up period expected to last until early 2024, Coeur (CDE) says Rochester should deliver a step change in the company’s overall production levels, cost profile and cash flow.
