While Big Brother houseguests can expect the unexpected in the game, a day on set Julie Chen Moonves is a bit more typical.
“I arrive hours before our live eviction to rehearse,” Chen Moonves, 53, shares exclusively in the latest issue of We weekly. “It’s important to go over the show beats in advance so the team is aware.”
Chen Moonves has been a longtime host of the reality series since its first season aired in 2000. The show is currently in its 25th season. In addition to hosting Big BrotherChen Moonves is also an author with her new audiobook, But first Godon Tuesday, September 19.
While the show airs three times a week, audiences – and contestants – only get to see Chen Moonves on eviction nights that take place live on Thursdays. On air, Chen Moonves hosts every live show with ease, but behind the scenes she does a lot of work to ensure the show runs smoothly every week.
“Mic’ed up and ready to go for a soundcheck, followed by a quick rehearsal of the show’s opening,” she says Us about her final preparations before she goes live.
