According to the company, OnePlus is making a new budget tablet, the OnePlus Pad Go Digital trends. According to the article, it will have an 11.6-inch 2.4K display with a 144Hz refresh rate and will launch with OnePlus’ OxygenOS 13. However, it’s not clear when it will arrive or for how much. The OnePlus India X account was teased what looks like the tablet on Thursday, so it looks like the tablet will launch in India soon.
Digital trends‘ report was light on other details, like storage or processing power, but it’s a good bet that OnePlus gave it more modest specs than the OnePlus Pad that came out earlier this year. OnePlus president Kinder Liu says it will be “a mid-range entertainment tablet.”
The Pad Go’s reported 2800 x 2000 resolution matches that of the OnePlus Pad, and looks almost identical, with curved edges, an iPad-like bezel, and a large rear camera centered along the long edge. The biggest visible difference is the two-tone look at the back, as you can see Digital trends’ post on X, formerly Twitter:
Additionally, like the OnePlus Pad, the Pad Go will apparently get the company’s Apple-like ecosystem features that let you sync, copy and paste content and handle phone calls across OnePlus devices. The edgeDan Seifert of Dan Seifert said in his review of the OnePlus Pad that the performative tablet “felt a bit like a throwback to the old OnePlus.” We’ll see if the company’s budget will achieve the same.
