‘Hitman’ Liam Harrison is expected to be given a hero’s welcome by his fans once he fully recovers from his leg injury.
The Muay Thai superstar has been on the mend for a while since suffering a devastating injury during his fight with Nong-O Hama on ONE on Prime Video 1.
While many would have thought this was a career-ending injury, Harrison, in turn, never did. He defied the odds and miraculously made a rapid recovery.
This week, he uploaded an encouraging video to Instagram showing fans his progress.
In the caption he wrote:
βIt’s been a while since I’ve had @richardsmith_badcompany_gym do that face π€£7 months post op now and I’m finally starting to feel like my old self again, only 2 more months until the surgeon signs me off and I can return to the @onechampionship ring πππ» #muaythaipads #padwork #combatsports #nakmuay.β
Harrison’s fans immediately took to Instagram to rally behind their man, praising him for his perseverance and willpower to fight. Check out what they said below:
To say Liam Harrison has had a tough start to the year is an understatement. However, the Leeds native is no stranger to overcoming adversity. In fact, he always comes back stronger. With his potential return fast approaching, fans have to wonder what’s next for the ‘Hitman’.
After suffering a defeat at the hands of Nong-O Hama last August, Harrison has fallen to No. 5 in the rankings. While an immediate rematch with Nong-O Hama is warranted, it will be a while before he gets a chance. him or Jonathan Haggerty for the world bantamweight title.
In front of him are Felipe Lobo and Saemapetch Fairtex – both of whom have achieved spectacular Muay Thai victories in the past year.
However, it is clear that Harrison understands this. In previous interviews, he said he is willing to take a few more fights before finally fighting for the world title. Let’s hope it doesn’t take too long.
