What’s better than one chic Parisian? How about a whole family of well-dressed French women? I’ve been following sisters Salomé and Tamara Mory on Instagram for a while, but recently discovered that their mother, Elisabeth Bento, is just as stylish.
Curious about the matriarch’s style, I interviewed Bento about her favorite fall outfits and shopping methods. “When it comes to my personal style, I wouldn’t describe myself as a fashionista,” Bento told Who What Wear. “I only have a small list of brands I love, and then I buy the same dress, top or jeans in different versions. I’m a ‘less is more’ type. So my ideal outfit is a good pair of jeans, it perfect T-shirt and cool accessories or a beautiful dress that you can wear with slippers on the beach or in the evening with heels. A journalist from France Fashion described me as the incarnation of the Parisian. That could be true.”
I then asked Bento to compare and contrast the way she dresses with the way her daughters dress. “The girls’ style is quite similar to mine, but I think they are more open to other brands and silhouettes than I am. Also, they can wear miniskirts, which I love but don’t wear anymore due to my age in the city,” she says. We’re certainly in favor of all ages wearing whatever they want, but it always comes down to personal preference.
