Love During Lockup: Season 8 β Network is making a few changes
The WEtv reality series Love after lock-up will air on September 15, 2023 at 9:00 PM. During the new season, the network will consist of ten episodes of 90 minutes each. The series follows the lives of the seven couples, five of whom are recurring favorites. Three couples from the previous season and two from season 2 return this season, as well as two new couples.
The network says this season’s stories are just as interesting and dramatic as past seasons. The couples soon discover that their lives are about to change drastically. They will have to learn a lot and adapt. It’s never an easy journey, as fans have discovered in recent seasons.
Meet the couples of season 8
Love during lock-up viewers will likely remember Chelsea Gilliam and Michael Harmon from season 2. The Ohio couple first met on Facebook in an inmate pen pal group. Mike tried his best to learn to communicate with Chelsea once he knew she was deaf.
His dedication to their relationship melts her heart. They try to make something of it. But Chelsea’s father still has some doubts about the former inmate, and that causes some friction between them.
The next couple on the roster is hard to forget, or at least she is. Season 2’s Melissa Picariello and Louie Fojut are back to continue their love story. They first met in high school.
This is where Melissa developed a hardcore crush on the popular boy Louie. She says he didn’t know she existed at the time. But twenty years later, she found Louie’s name on an inmate’s pen pal list and knew it was fate. There’s only one thing standing in Melissa’s way. That’s Louie’s mother, Donna.
Cast members from last season return
The next three couples are still fresh in our minds Love during lock-up fans. The crossover this season is former cop Andy and his criminal girlfriend Brittney. He is desperate for true love.
He thinks he found it with this inmate from Georgia. However, children are dissatisfied with their father’s new love interest. But Andy is sure she is the right woman for him. So sure that he’s willing to choose her over his children.
Britney and Kerok met while they were both in prison, and Kerok was transitioning. She was released nine months ago and lives with Kerok’s family. There are a few problems with this situation. Britney’s family is unhappy with her current life choices. That’s why she lives with Kerok’s family.
Another problem is that Kerok’s mother and brothers have not seen him since his transition. There are many feelings and opinions that make it difficult for the lovebirds to focus on their relationship.
The last Love during lock-up couple from the previous season are Raneka Hayes and Asonta Gholston. It is an emotional story with a sad ending. Raneka moved her daughters to Georgia. She expected to build a life with her prison partner, Lacitrus Asonta Gholston. However, before the season finale of Love during lock-up, Asonta died in a car accident in Georgia. Raneka broke the news of Asonta’s death on her Facebook.
Fans are now curious to see how the network will handle the tragedy. The circumstances are different now. So hopefully the network will find a way to tell Asonta’s final story respectfully.
Love After Lockup’s New Kids on the Block
The two newest couples who are members of the WEtv Love after lock-up family includes New York couple Sharae and Anthony. They met as teenagers but broke up after he cheated on her. Their story takes an interesting turn. She forgives him. They decide to lie to their families and tell them they are married. It’s a lot of stress. Sharae will also have to compete with Anthony’s mother for her fake husband’s attention.
The final couple is Joynomi and Redd from New Mexico. They are this season’s couple who have yet to meet in person. Despite never meeting in person, this couple has a lot of drama to deal with. It looks like Joynomi Redd has been unfaithful.
As a result, she became pregnant with the other man’s baby. But he’s willing to overlook it for now. So it’s difficult for them from the start. It will be difficult to get past these problems.
