Ringwald is best known as an ’80s movie queen, starring in the iconic John Hughes films “Sixteen Candles,” “The Breakfast Club” and “Pretty in Pink.” She was part of a generation of young actors dubbed “The Brat Pack,” many of whom are still active today. These films are still revered and recognized as generational classics to this day. As previously reported by The Blast, Ringwald also reunited with her “Breakfast Club” co-star Ally Sheedy (“St. Elmo’s Fire,” “Short Circuit”) last December for an “early Christmas gift dinner.”
More recently, Ringwald appeared on the hit CW series “Riverdale” as Mary Andrews, the mother of Archie Andrews (KJ Apa). She also starred in the award-winning series “Dahmer – Monster: The Jeffrey Dahmer Story,” in which she appeared as Shari Dahmer, the stepmother of Jeffrey Dahmer, played in the series by Evan Peters.

Many other major celebrities were present during the tournament. As noted by People, other celebrities at the game included Jerry Seinfeld, Nicole Kidman and husband Keith Urban, Matthew McConaughey, Emily Ratajkowski, Leonardo DiCaprio, Justin Timberlake and Zach Braff, to name a few.
At the very least, it seems like all the celebrities in attendance had a good time watching the tennis final. In Sunday’s final match, Djokovic emerged with a 6-3, 7-6 (5), 6-3 victory over Medvedev in Sunday’s match at Flushing Meadows. The victory gave Djokovic the 24th Grand Slam title of his career, a world record for men’s tennis singles. Earlier on Saturday, 19-year-old phenom Coco Gauff defeated Aryna Sabalenka in the women’s final to win the first major singles title of her career. Gauff is the youngest player to win a US Open singles title since Serena Williams won in 1999 at the age of 17.
