Meghan Markle is on her way – specifically to Europe for the Invictus Games – and has the perfect travel outfit for the 10.5-hour flight. As someone who admittedly struggles with planning outfits for long flights, I appreciate any help I can get (even if Meghan Markle didn’t intentionally want to help me).
While everything about Markle’s outfit for the trip was perfect, it was her pants and shoes that caught my attention. Markle opted for loose, wide-leg pants for the flight, which I think was a genius move. The loose trousers offer comfort during the long flight, but also provide shine (which they have much more of than leggings or sweatpants). For her shoes, she opted for a pair of chic flat mules, and let me tell you why that was a smart move too. Obviously flats are essential on travel days, and the backless pair may not be as secure as, say, a pair of sneakers, but the benefit you get is that your shoes won’t rub roughly on the back of your ankle as you walk through a huge space. airport.
To complete her outfit, Markle wore a V-neck sweater, oversized sunglasses, a designer tote bag and a straw hat. Scroll on to shop the look, as well as some of my favorite wide-leg pants and flats for flights.
