Bryan apologizes after arrest
NBC News reported that 27-year-old Bryan was arrested Thursday night in Vinita, Oklahoma, for obstructing an investigation. After being released from prison on bail, Bryan took to social media to apologize to the officers who arrested him for the way he treated them.
“Today I had an incident with the Oklahoma Highway Patrol. Emotions got the better of me and I went too far in the things I said,” Bryan wrote on X, the social media platform formerly known as Twitter.
“I support law enforcement as much as anyone can, I was just frustrated at the time, it was different to me and I apologize,” he added. “They took me to jail, and there’s a police photo of me floating around.”
“Prayers we can all get over this and prayers people know I’m just doing my best. I love you guys and I’m really sorry to the officers,” Bryan concluded.

Bryan talks about arrest
Page Six reported that Bryan doubled down on this in a video shared to his Instagram story.
“I was an idiot today,” he said in the video. “My decisions didn’t reflect who I was as a person. I just want to make that clear. I should have been smarter about it.”
Bryan went on to say that he was driving through a small town in his home state “about three days ago” when he sped past an officer, who responded by pulling him over and asking for his driver’s license, registration and address.
“I said, ‘Hey man, I’m not really comfortable giving you my address. I am a musician,” he said. “He says, ‘If you don’t give me your address, I’ll have to take you to jail.'”
Bryan eventually gave the officer his address after being told to get out of his car so he could be handcuffed, and he was subsequently released.

“He gave me a warning for not going too fast or anything,” Bryan continued.
Bryan ran into the same officer on Thursday as he attempted to travel to Boston for the Philadelphia Eagles’ season opener against the New England Patriots, scheduled for this weekend. About 40 minutes into his road trip, he saw the officer apprehend his guard, who was chasing him in a separate vehicle.
“Ten to fifteen minutes go by and I get out of the car and think, ‘Man, why is it taking so long?’ And I wanted to smoke a cigarette,” Bryan recalled. “The cop comes up to me and says, ‘Sir, get back in your car.’ And I’m like, ‘I’m not the one getting pulled over.’ He says, “Go back to your car or I’ll have to take you to jail.” And like an idiot I said, ‘Take me to jail? What do you mean?'”
“So I get too lippy with him,” he admitted. “He takes me to his car, and I didn’t help my situation at all. I felt like a child. It was ridiculous. It was immature. And I pray that everyone knows that I don’t think I’m above the law. I was just being disrespectful, and I shouldn’t have been, and it was my fault.

“I just wanted to apologize to the Trooper”
Bryan, whose new self-titled album hit his first No. 1 on the Billboard 200 a few days ago, confessed that he “started talking like an idiot” while handcuffed because he thought the handcuffs were too “tight.” .”
“[The cop] says, “Hey man, I’m going to tell you this: don’t interrupt me.” And I thought, ‘Well, when you’re done, I’m going to say my piece.’ He started talking, and I interrupted – of course, because I was just angry,’ Bryan said.
Bryan concluded by assuring his fans that he “eventually shook hands” with the arresting officer after getting his mug shot done.
“I just wanted to apologize to the trooper — both troopers — which I was rude to,” he concluded. “You didn’t deserve it, and hopefully one day we’ll meet under different circumstances.”

Looks like Bryan learned a very important life lesson yesterday. While we don’t approve of the way he treated this officer, we applaud him for admitting his mistake right away. We hope Bryan never treats another member of law enforcement this way again!
