The February 2024 Fashion Week in New York has officially ended and my mood board is once again packed with styling inspiration for the new season. Beyond the catwalk shows where the country’s top fashion houses presented wardrobe-changing designs for Fall/Winter 2024, the city’s chicest presented a mesmerizing show of their own with looks that we don’t have to wait six months for, but that we can really start to enjoy now wear. Equipped with the latest trends and some undeniably classic pieces, New York Fashion Week’s street style set exceeded the high expectations we still hold them for.
Below I’ve written down seven of my favorite trends I saw on the streets of New York this fashion week. Read on to discover the edgiest street style ideas straight from New York, which I also plan to recreate here in London.
7 CHIC STREET STYLE TRENDS TO TRY RIGHT FROM NEW YORK FASHION WEEK
1. OUTERWEAR WITH BELT
Not wanting to be overwhelmed by oversized coats or long blazers this season, the fashion set turned to a clever accessory trick that created cinched waists and statement silhouettes. By wearing their belts over their coats and jackets, showgoers added a thoughtful layer to their front row looks while streamlining their appearance.

For any fashion editor, making it through Fashion Week means making smart, tactical decisions. That’s why the fashion crowd continues to choose elegant skirt sets to halve their decision-making during Fashion Week.
