Many say that you can get enough protein from vegetables, beans and soy products. A healthy diet is one based on bread, potatoes and other grains and is rich in fruits and vegetables. A healthy diet includes moderate amounts of milk and dairy products, meat, fish or meat/milk alternatives, and limited amounts of foods that contain fat or sugar. You need to have carbohydrates, proteins, fats, vitamins, minerals, salts and fiber in the right proportions. If there is not enough protein, you cannot grow properly and you cannot repair yourself, i.e. wounds will not heal properly. If you do not have enough energy-containing food, you will feel very tired, you will not have enough energy. If you eat too many energy-rich foods, you will become overweight. If you think you are overweight, you can try increasing your exercise to ‘burn off’ some of the excess food you ate at your last meal.
