(RTTNews) – French shares fell into the red on Tuesday, giving up early gains as investors awaited the release of final euro zone inflation figures for November.
The Eurozone CPI is expected to reach 2.4 percent year-on-year this month, down 0.5 percent month-on-month.
Earlier in the day, the French central bank slightly lowered France’s GDP growth forecast to 0.8 percent for 2023, expecting a gradual acceleration until 2026.
The benchmark CAC 40 fell 13 points, or 0.2 percent, to 7,556, after losing 0.4 percent the day before.
Sodexo fell half a percent. The catering and foodservice group confirmed that it will put the spin-off Pluxee to the shareholders’ vote at a special shareholders’ meeting on January 30, 2024, after which Pluxee will be listed on Euronext Paris on February 1, 2024.
