Former President Donald Trump is firing back at former Fox News host Megyn Kelly after she claimed he has lost “several steps” and is not as “mentally sharp” as he was in 2016.
Kelly attacks Trump
“There is no question that Trump has lost a step or several steps,” Kelly told Glenn Beck on Friday. “He confuses Joe Biden with [Barack] Obama… I know he’s saying now that he did that intentionally – look at the clips, it wasn’t intentional. The reference about how someone is going to get us into World War II, confusing countries, confusing cities where he is, and it’s happening more and more.
“This is what happens when you are 77 years old. Trump seems inhuman, but he is not inhuman. He’s human. He’s a man,” Kelly continued. “DeSantis’ line about “Father Time spares no one” was a good one. So look, if it’s between Trump and Biden, I don’t think there’s any doubt who is fitter and more capable. But are we really going to pretend that Donald Trump is as vibrant and mentally sharp as he was in ’16?’

Trump fires back
Trump fired back at Kelly on social media, saying, “What the hell happened to her? She lost everything she ever had, and that wasn’t much.”
“Some things never change!” he continued, according to The New York Post.
Although Trump has confused Biden and Obama lately, he has claimed that this is actually intentional on his part.
“Every time I sarcastically insert the name Obama before Biden as an indication that others can actually have a very significant influence on running our country, Ron DeSanctimonious and his failed campaign apparatus, along with the Democrats’ radical left ‘Disinformation Machine’, wildly saying that ‘Trump doesn’t know the name of our president, (COOKED!) Joe Biden. He must have a cognitive impairment,” Trump said on social media last month.

The history of Trump and Kelly
There has been no love lost between Trump and Kelly for a long time. After Trump sat down with Kelly for an interview earlier this year, he branded her “nasty” during a speech in Iowa in September.
“I sat down for an hour, and then I did a Megyn Kelly version,” Trump said at the time, according to The Hill. He was apparently referring to his previous interview with NBC’s “Meet the Press.”
“I, she was, you know, boy, she got meaner all of a sudden,” Trump continued about Kelly. “She was quite mean, didn’t she, anyone who looked at it.”
Trump and Kelly became infamous after they moderated a Republican presidential debate in 2015. Trump said of Kelly at the time that “you could see blood coming out of her eyes, blood coming out of her everywhere.”
As for Kelly, she claims she no longer has a problem with Trump.
“You know, all that nonsense between us is under the bridge, and he couldn’t have been more magnanimous,” she said recently.
