Draxler watched from the sidelines at Paris Saint-Germain, but now the 2014 world champion is jumping ship and heading to Qatar.
Both Julian Draxler and Marco Verratti leave Paris Saint-Germain, both pointing to Qatar.
According to French sports newspaper L’Équipe, Draxler will join Al-Ahli SC, while Verratti is set to join Al-Arabi. In light of this, Al-Ahli and the 2014 world champions have just agreed on a change.
His advisor Roger Wittmann recently said on “Bild TV”: “Julian has an offer from the Middle East, which is very large. But he also has a family problem at the moment. So I don’t know if he can do it now. “A move to the desert is certainly an option.” Draxler’s agent even advised his client to move to the desert: “If a player can go there today, he should. I would recommend it to every player. It is very different from China or Russia.”
