Toxic work environments seem to be all the rage for A-list celebrities, reportedly.
It’s crazy to think that some of the most likable, relatable, and happiest celebrities have created a workplace where toxicity is allowed.
Jimmy Fallon is one of the most recent stars to receive negative publicity due to his bad and ‘erratic’ behavior behind the scenes.
Jimmy Fallon Ambushed With ‘Toxic’ Workplace Claims!
In a Rolling stone tell-all recently published, multiple employees (current and former) are coming forward with horrible stories about the host of “Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon.”
Two current and fourteen former employees of Fallon spoke about his “erratic” behavior and what they considered a “toxic” work environment.
The employees ranged from production staff to office workers and show writers.
Plus, they even claimed that the “SNL” alum had “good Jimmy days” and “bad Jimmy days.”
Employees were afraid of what a ‘Jimmy Day’ it would be at work
“No one told Jimmy, ‘No.’ Everyone was walking on eggshells, especially showrunners,” says a former employee RS. “You never knew which Jimmy we’d get and when he’d have a hissing fit. Look how many showrunners went so fast. We know it didn’t take long.”
Since taking over the late-night talk show in 2014, he has had nine showrunners.
Employees of ‘Tonight Show’ said this RS they had been made to feel “belittled and intimidated” by their superiors at work, including Fallon.
The claims even went so far as to say that Fallon appeared drunk on the job in 2017. Another group of employees claimed to have smelled alcohol on the host’s breath in an elevator on several occasions in 2019 and 2020.
Since the bombshell report was published, Fallon has since apologized to staffers. In a Zoom call on Thursday, September 7e, he reportedly said, “It’s embarrassing and I feel so bad. I’m sorry if I embarrassed you and your family and friends.”

Fallon continued: “It was never my intention to create that kind of atmosphere on the show. I think sometimes I work with the best of the best, you guys are the best in the game. I want this show to be fun, inclusive for everyone, funny, the best show, the best people.”
According to staff members present on Thursday, Fallon felt “quite serious” in his apology.
Unfortunately, the same cannot be said Ellen DeGenereswho was infamously exposed in 2020 due to a toxic work environment.
Several staff members spoke out and people revealed their experiences with her alleged unfriendliness online.
Many found the news shocking and ironic, because DeGeneres built her multimillion-dollar brand on the motto “be kind to each other.”
Apparently Ellen forgot to implement her “Be Kind” motto at work
Eleven staffers revealed her bad behavior, which reportedly included racism, fear and intimidation.
A former employee told me BuzzFeed“That ‘be nice’ bullsh*t only happens when the cameras are on. It’s all for show. I know they give people money and help them, but that’s for show.”
DeGeneres faced HUGE online backlash.
So she did what any celebrity trying to save face would do: she made an apology video.
Ellen apologized… Sort of
At the beginning of her 18e season on air, DeGeneres addressed the allegations of toxic workplaces.
“I learned that things happened here that should never have happened. I take this very seriously and want to say that I am very sorry to the people affected by this. “I know I am in a position of privilege and power and I realized that with that comes responsibility, and I take responsibility for what happens on my show,” she said.
She then acknowledged the accusations that many people had been waiting to hear her speak about, with Ellen not being the same behind-the-scenes person she portrays on the show, and not living up to her “be nice” mantra.
“The truth is, I’m that person you see on TV. I am also a lot of other things. Sometimes I get sad. I’m getting angry. I’m getting worried. I get frustrated. I’m getting impatient. And that’s what I’m working on,” DeGeneres explains.
Booty twerking, flute-playing music sensation Lizzo is also among the so-called ‘toxic workplace’ celebrities.
Last month, The explosion reported on the original three women who came forward with claims that Lizzo sexually harassed and assaulted them. They were part of her Big Grrl dance crew.
They filed a 44-page lawsuit against the singer, and one dancer, Arianna Davis, alleged that Lizzo “pressured” and “goaded” her into touching a naked performer’s breast.
Lizzo is one of the A-listers with poor leadership!
Davis protested many times that she didn’t want to do it. After that incident, Lizzo allegedly “harassed a member of her security team to get on stage, where she pulled down his pants and whipped him, shouting, ‘Take it off!’”
Lizzo showed “little respect” for the “physical autonomy of her employees and those around her, especially in the presence of many people she employed.”
Another Big Grrl by the name of Crystal Williams claimed she was fired after aligning herself with Lizzo, who allegedly overworked her dancers.
She described the twelve-hour rehearsals as “unbearable” and fired dancers at the end if she was unhappy with their performance. Davis admitted that she peed herself because she was so afraid to ask to go to the washroom.
Lizzo denied the dancers’ claims and released a statement two days after the lawsuit was filed.
“My work ethic, morals and respect have been called into question,” she said. “My character has been criticized. I usually choose not to respond to false allegations, but these are as unbelievable as they sound and too outrageous to go unaddressed.”
Lizzo noted that these specific dancers “have already publicly admitted that their behavior on tour was inappropriate and unprofessional.”
