It’s the start of the school year and most parents would like to send their kids out to learn new things and make new friends. Instead, we live in a world where parents need to worry not only about whether their children will learn the things they should learn — but whether they will be safe from extreme gender ideology.
God help you as you express your concerns as your young child’s primary caregiver. If you’re lucky enough to even know about the trash being sold at your child’s public school, speaking it out could earn you the label of “extremist.”
In this spirit, the blue districts are arming their progressively trained “educators” with the resources they need not to teach your children real value-added lessons, but to argue with parents who do not approve of extreme gender ideology.
Perhaps the best case study is that of the Chicago Public School (CPS) district, which has released a “How To” for teachers to deal with any setbacks.
Nicer, supportive people in Chicago, including a public school teacher.

General and logical
The document released by CPS to their faculty is titled “Guideline for Responding to Community Pushback.”
CPS further explains that:
“This document provides best practices on how to respond to opposition regarding supporting transgender, nonbinary, and gender nonconforming students.”
Before I get to the bottom of this two-page waste of space, let me briefly discuss the concept of “Gender Nonconforming Students.” It is as if the left specifically wants the youth to be confused.

The term “gender non-conforming” makes it sound like those who “conform” to their actual gender are “uncool” and behind the times. Take it from a punk rocker who was the cool, uptight kid who smoked cigarettes in high school; this is all about glorifying a disease to trap the most vulnerable in our population.

Continue straight on. In the document, CPS discusses seven common objections raised by those who don’t go along with the radical left’s goal of turning our children into something unrecognizable.
These seven “common pushback responses” are:
- I don’t believe in this. This goes against my religious or personal views.
- I think trans people are just confused, and we’re confusing them even more.
- What about girls’ feelings/rights in the bathroom when a transgender person comes in to use it?
- Students should not be able to make a name change in ASPEN or other school systems without notifying their caregiver.
- What if someone just says they’re a girl just to get into the girls’ bathroom?
- Should I tell parents that a trans girl is using the girl’s bathroom or changing room?
- I don’t want my child to learn about LGBTQ+ history at school.
These all seem relatively reasonable objections that parents may have to radical new social experiments with no precedent in human history. However, CPS wants teachers to ignore these objections, and they’ve given them conversation topics to do just that.
Please keep in mind that this is not a document on how to better listen to parents, or their concerns, or how to find common ground or understanding. Only institutions that actually care about their costs would do that. No, this is a document on how to do this loss parents who disagree with the radical ideology.

Religion is for losers
I don’t have enough words to go into every ridiculous counter-reaction that CPS teachers suggested using in this piece. Still, I’ll take a moment to review the best ones.
In response to parents or fellow educators claiming that the gender ideology movement goes against their religious beliefs, CPS suggests the following response:
“Everyone is entitled to their own personal beliefs. At the same time, however, CPS adopts and maintains clear, specific core values.”
They would have been better off stopping at the first sentence. No “however” is needed; everyone is literally entitled to their own personal beliefs.

They further explain that their core values are:
“…provide a safe and welcoming learning environment for all students and colleagues, including transgender, non-binary, and gender-nonconforming students and staff.”
But if you believe in God and the Good Word, you will have to find your safety and welcome environment elsewhere, loser.

Bathroom problems
When I was in the military, there were a few occasions when I was the only woman in camp at my deployment locations. This would mean, at least for a while, that I wouldn’t have a private bathroom, which I would have to share with the men.
Even under those circumstances, in the middle of nowhere in Africa and the Middle East, there were steps that ensured I had a safe place to ring and shower. A sign would be posted on the door of the latrine stating that a lady was using it, which meant that the men would have to wait.
It’s amazing how we can understand basic safe spaces for women in war-torn countries, but not in schools.
Faced with the question of what to do about girls who are not comfortable sharing a bathroom with a transgender man, CPS suggests the following answer:
“The person who is trans is also a girl…”
CPS continues:
“If someone does not feel comfortable using a shared bathroom with other students in the school, he or she is entitled to access to one bathroom if that would make them more comfortable.”

Ah yes, at a time in their lives when going against the grain isn’t celebrated, let’s allay kids’ fears by giving them a chance to stand out with their choice to use a bathroom with a single shower stall.
But the best part of this answer comes next:
“It shouldn’t be up to the transgender student to use a different toilet to make it more comfortable for cisgender students.”
Yes, the responsibility should lie with the transgender student, because the transgender student must use the bathroom that is appropriate for their actual gender – and not invade the spaces of the opposite gender.

Shame on you, Chicago
At the end of the document, CPS recommends a “Quick General Pushback Response” with the following:
“I’m happy to talk to you about this one-on-one, but right now we’re going to be troubleshooting how to keep our students safe and affirmed.”
I’m so glad I don’t live in Chicago and we homeschool our kids. I probably would have been arrested already if some boring, hair-dyed dip said something like that to me.
But I’m willing to talk to you about something else if they want, CPS. What about the fact that less than 16% of the more than 300,000 students from Chicago’s minority students can read at grade level?
